Not gays in West Wales !
Well yes... Here we are - bisexuals, gay men, lesbians, transsexuals -
queers of all shapes and sizes - and we want you to know about us and why we set
up the Dyfed Gay Support group.
It has to be faced: in West Wales there is almost nowhere for members of
sexual minority groups to meet, chat, socialise and, even more important, almost
no one to turn to for information and support. So, that’s what we’re here for.
We have set up a telephone help-line 0845- 602 -4595, calls charged at the
local rate, to answer queries [no puns please !], to help people understand
better their own sexual identity or that of a family member, to give information
to promote sexual health, and to provide the support that can come from just
talking and being with someone who will try to understand your problems.
And on the social front we have a Centre where there are regular little
social gatherings, usually Saturday evenings and Wednesdays. Why not come along
and swell the crowds ? Well... join the happy band at least. Ring the helpline
