Married Bisexual and Gay Men and Women

Do we have problems !

For all sorts of reasons, and especially for those who are now middle-aged, all the family pressure has been to marry, produce children, to be normal - whatever that may mean !  So, many of us married, and then came the problems, the little deceits, the fantasies which would not go away, the nagging worry -  am I really gay or bisexual ?

And then the most immediate personal issues; what if the husband/wife finds out that I’m “one of those...!?   Should I tell the children, and what on earth are they going to think if they just happen to discover that they’ve got a bisexual/gay mother or father ?

Quite honestly, the first and best thing is to find someone to talk to. Here at Dyfed Gay Support Group we have men and women among our members who understand some if not all of your worries.  And, we have a Centre to which you can come where you will be safe and as anonymous as you wish, either to meet others in the same situation as yourself or just to be with others who have learned to cope.

In any case, you would be well advised not to resort to having casual sex when and where you can get it  -  and certainly not to “cottageing” !  It may be exciting but it’s very risky - as well as illegal in some instances. And, don’t forget, you may be endangering the health of those you love.
